Valentino's Grande Salon

I went here for the first time yesterday. Becca was my stylist. I have never liked my hair more than the way she cut it. I have always felt my hair would fall a little flat when I would style it, and could never crack the code to why. I have been trying to figure out how I could change that for months now. Becca listened to everything I wanted, and executed it perfectly. She even showed me how to style it and the right product to achieve the look I’ve wanted for such a long time. Thank you Becca! I used to love this place and always felt assured knowing i would get great highlights and a great cut from Melanie! But my last experianc was not so good ! I asked for the same treatment to be put in my hair and i explained i did not like the one that you leave in and then blowdry [ IT MAKES My FINE HAIR STICKY} I asked for the one i have had on the last four appointments leave in for a minute. However , after my wash she put the towel on my head and i said wait you did not rinse the treatment off.. she said oh don"t worry its a leave in treatmnet.. I said but i told you i hate that one ! so she rinsed it out and i guess put another treatment in and said i will be back in a minute but she never came back....I was very upset to say the least as i know my hair very well and knew it would be difficult to blow dry as its become overly soft and in actual fact was a mess! and then to cap it all apart from the fact that no one came forward to assist im my dilama ! {so much for manegement making sure clients are look after! } i received a phone call more or less saying not to come back to the salon! I so I am getting blamed for a person not listening ! I undersstand she was young and learning But you do not leave a client sitting! and a person of senority should have helped! I regrett tipping the young lady in question now! This salon has good people but the attituede they have is wrong alway make sur the person walks out happy! They are not that good to treat clients badly which was my last experence....I had already decided not to go back but that is besides the point! who do they think they are.....

Update: I deleted my previous review and giving 5 stars now after my experience today. I had a great time at Valentinos last April with a haircut done by Rylan. The same day before leaving the salon, I booked an appointment for a color service later in May. Unfortunately, they canceled it just 1 hour before my time on that Saturday morning. I was really upset, had plans for that night and felt really frustrated, but Daniela contacted me, explained what happened that morning, apologized, and asked me to give them another chance. I did it today, and I am really happy with the outcome. Alley did a great job on my balayage, and I will be returning next September to do a touch-up on my color and future haircuts. I do appreciate Valentinos for taking the step in recognizing their mistake and offering a solution. I do recommend them for their customer service and great stylists! I always had great experience at Valentinos. Nirali, Harmony, Rylon and Megan Hanna all are amazing girls. They will make you feel comfortable and would also recommend apt colours and cut. In the picture beautiful blow dry sone by Nirali and roots by Harmony.

Vanessa is an absolute magician when it comes to hair color! I walked in with an idea, and she turned it into a masterpiece. The layers added so much dimension and movement to my hair—it's safe to say I've never felt more pleased with a haircut. Rae's skill and precision are undeniable, and her work truly speaks for itself. The salon itself is a haven of cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. The ambiance is inviting, making every visit a delightful experience. But what truly sets this place apart is the team of stylists. Each one is not only talented but also exceptionally kind and engaging. It's evident that they genuinely care about making each client feel pampered and heard. Undoubtedly, the service provided is worth every penny. The level of care, expertise, and attention that the stylists invest in their work is truly remarkable. Vanessa, Rae, and the entire team have created an environment where every client walks out feeling like a million bucks.

I come all the way from Markham to Whitby to see Melanie (senior stylist) cuz she just cuts my hair so beautifully. I have fine thin hair and she understands what my hair needs to really maximize volume and bounce. Highly recommend going to see Melanie!

I had the new Air touch service at the salon - Ashley did an amazing job!! It was four hours in the chair, but the results were absolutely stunning. Definitely worth the wait, and my hair feels amazing as well! And as always - Lo gave me an amazing cut as well. Thanks so much Ashley and Lo!

I have been going to Valentino's Grande Salon for over a decade now. My current colorist is on mat leave and she highly recommended Mercedes-Ashley till she returned. I am so glad she did! Mercedes-Ashley is amazing. A sweetheart, very kind, polite and really great colorist! I had been very sick for about 6 months and had not had my hair done in a while. It was my first time back in so long and she took the time to take care of my hair, make me feel comfortable and was very attentive. I truly appreciated that as I am still not 100%. Liz has been cutting my hair for a while. I just love Liz, she is amazing, knows exactly what i want without too much explanation. Thank you to Mercedes-Ashley for taking great care of me for the first time and of course to Liz, amazing cut as always. I feel pretty again :). Much love xoxo Dimitra

Two amazing stylists Kayla and Ashley worked their magic on my hair. Love it and worth every penny. They sure know how to make a gal feel good with a haircut and style. Highly recommended! They make you feel so comfortable and are so up to date with various techniques. Thanks ladies!

I had my hair done by Megan and all I can say is WOW. I’m in the process of growing my natural blonde back, and with my ends being bleached, she worked her magic. If you’re looking for anything blonde, Megan is your girl!
