What a treat! I had a lovely facial treatment with Darlene this weekend. Fabulous retreat indeed. I attended to from the moment i walked in and no rush to leave. Definitely will be will be going here again.

This is an amazing place to go to feel pampered. I’ve only had a pedicure here but the room was clean and comfortable, my esthetician was lovely, gentle and gave a damn good pedi. There was a mix up with my booking, she thought it was for a manicure but quickly rearranged things to accommodate my pedicure. Will definitely go back.

I absolutely LOVED my first visit to Urban Retreat! Right when I walked in the lady working at the front desk greeted me enthusiastically. She was professional and friendly. The building was very clean and organized, which provided a relaxing atmosphere right from the start. The lady that did my facial was very kind and she took the time to explain lots of the skincare and the process to me while still allowing time for silence and relaxation. Overall I would say that this was the best facial I have ever had! I would recommend this place to anyone who asked and I will definitely be returning here in the future.

I had a gift card for a pamper package. The women who did my services were wonderful and I really enjoyed my massage and facial. The light lunch was not worth mentioning. It was a sad boxed salad. I should have brought my own snack. They offered tea, coffee or wine with lunch. I took a wine. When I went to check out I was told there was a balance remaining. Their prices had increased since the gift card was purchased so I was charged the balance with the updated price. As someone with two close friends who own and manage medi spas I know this is something they would never do. It’s just the principle of it. The card, as bought, should be honoured. Especially since I gave them the card number and info when booking months prior and nothing was mentioned about the price increase. Possibly nothing was mentioned when I booked because they only just increased the price. But in that case if the price increase was after my booking then they should most definitely have honoured it. The other tiny thing that irked me was that they charged me for wine lol. Again, it’s a little thing but it shouldn’t be presented as complimentary if it isn’t. Again, the women and services were fantastic! I just don’t agree with how the check out was handled. It does not reflect how I would expect a business of this level to manage something like this.

Excellent pedicures. I find Urban Retreat friendly, clean, and very much enjoy the service. The spa hours are convenient and their appointment booking system works well without intruding. Great place whether I’m looking for a quiet, private service or a fun group date with pedicures and wine!

My first body wrap experience with Kara started with a relaxing steam. I was scrubbed and lotioned and massaged for ninety minutes from head to toe. I’m sure Heaven is a lot like this. Incredible service- I enjoyed everything second. $215 almost feels too inexpensive for the quality of care you’re getting. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you for taking Kara me.

If you want the best pampering, this is your place! Beyond excellent service by pleasant, competent, professional staff. My sister was so impressed. Anita and Darlene made this a wonderful relaxing experience. We will be back.

I recently had a manicure with Brooklyn and she was exceptional. I don’t get manicures too often but this was by far the best one I’ve had. And she was also really nice to chat with. I’d highly recommend booking with her!

Fantastic place for spa and massage appointments. Only negative thing I can say about this place is the receptionist is extremely rude and short. Stopped coming here because of her.

Booked a 90 min facial for my first visit here. It was an amazing experience with Amoy. She took the time to examine my skin and explained what worked best on my face. The scalp and feet massage were a definite bonus. Will for sure be coming back here!!

I'm pleased to say that they addressed the issue promptly and ensured that my second visit was nothing short of exceptional. I'm grateful for the management's commitment to customer satisfaction. Anita, the esthetician who took care of me during my facial, was not only professional but also incredibly personable. From the moment I stepped in, her attention to detail and soothing demeanor set the tone for a rejuvenating experience. ** INITIAL EXPERIENCE I recently visited Urban Retreat for the Urban Retreat Facial with Microdermabrasion Pass add-on, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The session was supposed to be 105 minutes (90 min for facial, and 15 min for microdermbrasion) as advertised on the website and online appointment platform. Despite arriving 15 minutes early to fill out forms and to ensure my appointment starts on time, my facial was completed before 6:20 PM, well below the expected duration. I didn't realize it until I got into the car and saw it was only 6:34 PM, checked my MasterCard receipt to see it timestamp at 6:32 PM. This also includes time spent changing before heading to the front for payment, it's clear that the service duration was notably shorter than expected. This was disappointing, as I anticipated a thorough experience similar to a massage appointment where if you book for x amount of time, you will receive x amount of services for the time booked. Moreover, the advertised pampering elements under the Urban Retreat Facial, such as hot towels on hands and feet, hand and arm massages, scalp massages, and pressure points massage on the feet, were noticeably absent during my session. This lack of promised services felt like false advertising. I recommend that Urban Retreat either deliver the full extent of services promised or update their website to accurately reflect the experience clients can expect.

The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Their skills in micro-needling, luxury facials, and laser hair removal are top-notch. You can tell they love what they do. Plus, the whole vibe of the place is chill and cozy, adding to the overall good feels. Totally recommend it if you want to feel both fabulous and at home! 🌟

Katie is very knowledgeable, kind, and has a magical way of making you feel very comfortable. She fielded my many questions with ease and I always enjoyed going to my appointments. I recently moved away from Edmonton and had to travel for appointments, and there is no question that it was well worth it. If you're on the fence about laser hair removal, I highly recommend going to see Katie; I wish I would have done it years earlier! Thank you so much for an incredible experience. I am a loyal Urban client and last week I had the pleasure of getting a sport spa pedicure by Caitlin. She did a great job and I left the spa feeling relaxed and very happy with the service. I also get massages once a month and I couldn’t recommend Urban Retreat enough! Truly 5 star service!

Let’s just say, I CAN’T get into the energy of 2024 without giving This review! My first experience was an in person visit, and I was convinced to make an appointment sometime for a special occasion. A few weeks later, I looked them up online, read good reviews and dialled to make an appointment for a Retreat Massage for the occasion of my Birthday! Similar to the experience of another review, the lady at the reception was not very enthusiastic about making a new appointment, only a few days in advance, as they are ‘generally booked well-ahead’ and could only offer a 90 or 60 mins facial instead of 90 mins Full body massage. Well, it was my birthday and I wanted to feel good and special so, for the similar price, yeah I wholeheartedly went ahead and booked it. On the day of the appointment, I called them in the morning and informed that I might be late by 10–15 minutes as a birthday surprise popped up. After reaching at the reception, I quickly changed the footwear and was taken to the changing room & given a form to fill that I filled within 3-4 mins. I awaited for a knock in that room for over 15 mins. Was taken to the massage room where I settled-in rather uncomfortably for the facial. I complained about the tension in my neck to the aesthetician as well but that was to no relief. Over Half way through my 90 mins facial, I sensed this process is coming to an end but hold on!! what about my lips? They haven’t event been touched as part of my facial’ So I softly asked my aesthetician ‘wouldn’t lips be massaged?’ And she responded ‘oh no, since you were late, we had to skip that part’ and my brain was like ‘sorry, what?!’ She ‘informed’ me that it takes a few minutes for them to make in house lip scrub and that wasn’t done. She also clarified that this will be adjusted in the final bill. So here I am, getting a facial for OVER 165$ on my birthday to relax and feel good and my brain and body is gripping in feelings of betrayal by the service provider. She finished the massage and applied some greasy petroleu
